NAPOWRIMO 2017 ~ Day Twelve ~ First Fascination ~

Today, I’d like you to write a poem that explicitly incorporates alliteration (the use of repeated consonant sounds) and assonance (the use of repeated vowel sounds).

First fascination was the free flowing fine soft

touch of the  finger less gloves on white and black

music keys,nimbly touching notes harmonious

flowing fluently, sideways  sailing like waves joyous,

must have moved through motions of gradus

yarn over, yarn forward, move not, carpus

moving flicking twisting looping,clasping

creating joining needles making fine calathus

hundreds of years predicted and prophecised

a knitter with half fingers would be restricted

but with wonders metacarpus and microdontus

would be in gemini orbited as Castor and Pollux

today I guess I am closing in the solution

with a firm knitting basket and a resolution

with multi colored yarns twisted all over

my knitting half done,  its me…’said Nostradamus’
